Meeting NBD10300 standards: new ceramic TOPCOAT for Grevelingensluis's hydraulic cylinders

We provided 9 cylinder rods with a new ceramic TOPCOAT, meeting Rijkswaterstaat's standards. These are part of the Grevelingensluis hydraulic system overhaul, ensuring the lock doors' functionality.

For the revision of the hydraulic cylinders in the Grevelingensluis, Rijkswaterstaat required nine cylinder rods to be refurbished with a new ceramic TOPCOAT. The coating had to meet the technical standards described inthe NBD10300. These rods are essential components of the hydraulic system that operates the lock doors, which are currently undergoing overhaul after reaching the end of their service life.

Eight doors are being revised, and the ninth rod will function as a spare. Thework needed to be carried out within a short lead time, as requested by DuoTec.

We provided all nine cylinder rods with a new ceramic TOPCOAT that fully complies with the requirements set by Rijkswaterstaat in the NBD10300. The project was completed within the requested timeline. These rods form a crucial part of the hydraulic cylinders in the Grevelingensluis, ensuring the reliable operation of the lock doors as part of the broader system overhaul.
