TOPCOAT 107+ for Cape Holland

CAPE Holland, a Dutch company specializing in offshore foundation installation equipment, needed a durable coating for the piston rod of their CAPE VLT-640 Triple Vibro Lifting Tool. This tool is used to install XXL monopiles for offshore wind turbines, demanding maximum strength and reliability under extreme conditions, including heavy loads, seawater exposure, and continuous wear.

We coated the piston rod with our in-house developed TOPCOAT 107+, which combines a superalloy base layer with a carbide top layer. The result is a corrosion-resistant, hard yet flexible coating that can be applied to long, thin rods without cracking. The system is completely Chromium (VI)-free, environmentally safer, and can be quickly repaired by spot welding if needed. Provided with TOPCOAT 107+, CAPE Holland received a piston rod that is reliable, durable, and ready for offshore use,  built to last.
