TOPCOAT 107

TOPCOAT 107 is the economic alternative for nickel chrome plating.

Even though the costs of both alloys are similar, the corrosion resistance and wear resistance for TOPCOAT 107 are significantly better than for nickel chrome.

Free of chromium (VI)

The clever composition and the careful coating process of TOPCOAT 107 make sure that it is free of chromium (VI), i.e. hexavalent chrome, minimizing health risks for people and planet.

Durable coating

Griekspoor Thermal Coatings based this coating on an in-house developed nickel/carbide-alloy. TOPCOAT 107 combines the hardness of carbides with the flexibility, surface roughness, and toughness of nickel. The result is a distinctly durable coating with long lasting corrosion resistance and excellent wear resistance when exposed to erosion, friction, or cavitation.

Utilization

  1. Economically and technically appealing chromium (VI) free nickel chrome alternative and hard chrome alternative;
  2. Hard chrome replacement and nickel chrome replacement for hydraulic piston rods. Even long thin rods with a lot of flex can be coated reliably with no risk of cracking during use;
  3. Mandrels;
  4. Very accurate rollers in the film and paper industry;
  5. Coating and/or repair of bearing and sliding surfaces.
