TOPCOAT 107 and 107+, Griekspoor’s economical hexavalent chrome free alternatives to nickel chrome plating, show groundbreaking results when testing on corrosion, wear and deformation resistance. Testing in our Extreme Lab and in the field have shown that a HP-HVOF-coated surface has significantly better properties in the tribological system than the previous standards: starting with the high surface hardness and the dense layer structure, through the high wear resistance and durability to a low porosity of less than one percent.
Our coatings are extremely wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, that is finished to the specified fit and roughness. We coat products up to a length of 23 meters, a diameter of 1100 millimeters and a weight of 20 tonnes.
Griekspoor and Freudenberg, in partnership, have conducted three full years of testing to further improve our coatings, extend lifetime and insure minimum roughness change over time. The laboratory process began with rod coatings, finished to varying roughnesses, and resulted in no detectable wear or damage as a result of worst-case situations. And having travelled over 6.000kms, over all kinds of Freudenberg seals the roughness values of rod coating were unaffected throughout the entire duration of the test.
