Alternative for nickel chrome
TOPCOAT® 107 is the economic alternative for nickel chrome plating. Even though the costs of both alloys are similar, the corrosion resistance and wear resistance for TOPCOAT® 107 are significantly better than for nickel chrome.
Free of chromium (VI)
The clever composition and the careful coating process of TOPCOAT® 107 make sure that it is free of chromium (VI), i.e. hexavalent chrome, minimizing health risks for people and planet.
Griekspoor Thermal Coatings based this coating on an in-house developed nickel/carbide-alloy. TOPCOAT®107 combines the hardness of carbides with the flexibility, surface roughness, and toughness of nickel. The result is a distinctly durable coating with long lasting corrosion resistance and excellent wear resistance when exposed to erosion, friction, or cavitation.
- Economically and technically appealing chromium (VI) free nickel chrome alternative and hard chrome alternative;
- Hard chrome replacement and nickel chrome replacement for hydraulic piston rods. Even long thin rods with a lot of flex can be coated reliably with no risk of cracking during use;
- Very accurate rollers in the film and paper industry;
- Coating and/or repair of bearing and sliding surfaces.
